Launched in 2024, the Professional Photographers Association of Bermuda (PPA BDA) represents both full-time photographers and videographers living and working legally within the country.

With over 100 years of combined experience, members of the PPA BDA have been working in their respective fields of photography and videography for several decades each.

The PPA BDA aims to promote Bermuda’s local photographers and videographers.

Our volunteer Council Members aim to maintain a high standard of photographic practice within Bermuda’s professional community of photographers and videographers.

The PPA BDA encourages and assists photographers and videographers become full-time. This includes but is not limited to assistance for Members regarding Social Insurance, Pay Roll Tax, Private Pension(s), Health Insurance, and Gear Insurance.

The PPA BDA provides assistance with marketing Bermuda’s professional photographers and videographers to potential clients. This may include PPA BDA Photographers and Videographers capturing the images/media and/or offering Production Services.

We help to promote educational opportunities related to photography and videography in Bermuda

Council Members aim to work with the Bermuda Tourism Authority and with the Bermuda’s Department of Immigration regarding Work Permits for those not living and working in Bermuda. This would include but is not limited to providing photographic knowledge and guidance regarding specific work permit applications.

Council Members aim to ensure a local photographers and/or videographers are hired alongside any accepted Work Permit holders for private events and weddings.

Our Council Members also consult with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation regarding small business opprotunties.
